Help us serve our community with compassion and kindness

You can make a positive impact by volunteering your time and talents to enhance the care we give our patients, visitors and community every day.

Everyone has unique and personal reasons for sharing their skills through volunteering. Through our programs, you’ll have a meaningful experience while being of service to others.

Thinking about volunteering, but not sure?

Volunteering is an enjoyable, enriching experience. Do any of these describe you?

  • You want to become more involved in your local community.
  • You want to be a part of an active and diverse group of people interested in healthcare.
  • You’d like to give back to others while growing your soft skills or healthcare knowledge.
  • You’re looking for personal growth, informal learning or a career exploration opportunity.
  • You’re retired, but not ready to give up the bustle of the workplace.

If one or more rings true for you, we’re confident we can connect you with an adult, young adult or youth volunteer program at Geisinger that aligns with your talents and interests.

Celebrating our volunteers

We honor the vital contributions of our volunteers each year through a special recognition event. Volunteers can receive acknowledgment for their hours of service, attend sponsored social events, and take advantage of a variety of learning opportunities throughout the year.

Volunteers who serve more than 100 hours annually are eligible to receive recognition for their service through the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
