Jeff Alex, Esq., is the legal counsel for Geisinger Health Plan, Geisinger Indemnity Insurance Company and Geisinger Quality Options Inc., collectively referred to as Geisinger Health Plan.
Mr. Alex joined the health plan in February 2024 and has over 12 years of in-house healthcare experience. Most recently he provided legal counsel to executive leadership at UPMC, supporting multiple lines of business in provider contracting, legal governance, regulatory compliance and marketing matters. He also served as an associate at Sheerer Law and at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, both in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Alex serves on the boards of directors for Pressley Ridge and the Foster Love Project.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
