Coverage questions

Do employees need to seek services only with Geisinger-owned providers and facilities?

No. Geisinger Health Plan’s network offers access to 29,000 providers, including more than 100 hospitals and urgent and convenient care locations, along with access to emergency care anywhere in the world. Search for providers.

We are a national company, but we have a location in Geisinger Health Plan’s service area. Will Geisinger cover just one of our company’s locations?

Yes. If your company administers coverage to employees by location we can accommodate your employees living or working in Geisinger Health Plan’s service area.

What if we have employees who live out of state or out of Geisinger Health Plan’s service area?

They’re covered. Members who live outside our service area still have access to a national network of providers through the PHCS Network. By using these providers, they can enjoy the cost advantages of receiving the same in-network benefits as people in our service area. Read more about PHCS.


Does GHP administer Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA)?

Yes. Geisinger Health Plan works with third-party vendors to offer HRA, FSA and HSA options to businesses.

How do I add employees to my plan?

To add employees to an employer-sponsored plan, use the Group Subscriber Application. This document is available on our Applications and Forms page.

How do I remove employees from my plan?

Fill out the Enrollment Application Change Form.

How do I add dependents to my plan?

Use to the Enrollment Application Change Form.

Can I pay my bill online or as a monthly bank draft?

Yes. We have two free, secure options for online payments.

  • One-time pay: Allows you to pay premiums online without storing financial information or committing to automatic monthly payments. Log in and click the “Premium Payment” to make a one-time payment.
  • Automatic bill pay: Allows you to set up automatic monthly payments. To set up this service, log in and click the “Premium Payment.”
